Choteau to Browning

A long, hard day. We didn't know the elevation profile before we left - it turned out to be hilly with a head-wind and some road-works!

There were a couple of small towns but they didn't have any shops open when we went through so no cold drinks all day either.

The campsite in Browning was closed but we were too tired to do the 20km uphill to the next town so we stayed in an expensive motel.

We did get our first views of the mountains of Glacier national park. They were a bit hazy because there have been some forest fires there over the last few days. Luckily for us the fires seem to be under control now.

I like that there are different speed limits for day and night - and different ones for trucks (the sign in the distance) too.

Difficult to see but this was a very steep down followed by a very steep up near the end of the day and a series of these.
