Winthrop to Diablo Lake (Washington Pass and Rainy Pass)

Broke the elevation gain record again today with our last pass in this series. We started early and took lots of photos - really beautiful views.

Stan was supposed to wait for me at the top but I couldn't find him so I started down without him. It turned out that he had gone down a side road to use the toilet. Thanks to a kind guy in a ute (Pat) who drove back down the mountain to look for me and then forward down the other side to find me, we eventually met up again.

Today:95km Total:5220km

Actually when I got there it didn't seem that steep.
