Sandpoint to Sagle

It was a rest day but the campground in Sandpoint itself (part of the Best Western hotel) was noisy and expensive ($45 compared to the usual $20) so we moved 10km down the road (actually an off-road bike path) for the night ($21 campground).

Today:11km Total:4637km

Another month over - must be time for a beard selfie update. Here it is:

Our expensive campsite was one of the noisiest we've had. The train line was directly behind us and so close that the earth moved a lot for both of us that night!

It wasn't all bad though, the toilets and showers were part of the pool and spa area of the hotel and we had the comfortable, air-conditioned 'computer room' to ourselves to charge everything and update this blog.

Cheaper campsite at Sagle (where we also had a cool room with free wi-fi to update the blog!)

We met this couple in Sandpoint. They have invented this bike connector thingy currently called Ride-By-Side. They are looking to get a partner to make it. Can connect any 2 similar size bikes together and you can use your own gears and 'share' the brakes and steering. It is a little wide but a good alternative to a tandem. I hope they do well with it.
