Hiking Time: 2 hours Description: Beautiful walk with large spectacular waterfalls. Very shaded
with swimming stops so good for hot weather but a little steep.
Popular with large groups of hikers having picnics at the falls. Ignore the signs about the landslide - you won't even notice it and can get through easily. The turn off to Kadoorie farm is a little overgrown - there are 2 overgrown paths to chose from (the second of which has a few ribbons to help you). Look out for the roof of the pagoda (see photo) and you turn off and walk towards it. At Kadoorie Farm you can visit the animal section where they care for injured wild animals and the information area where you can learn about the work Kadoorie farm has done over the years developing new crop and animal varieties suitable for farming in Hong Kong's climate. (See http://www.kfbg.org.hk/ )
How to get there: Take KCR to Tai Po Market and then Taxi to Ng Tung Chai. The walk is a
reasonable work-out in the shade up stone steps and takes around 1 hour to go to
the upper falls but you can stop and swim or paddle in the lower and middle
falls and still have a nice day if you don't want to make it all the way.
When you spot this pagoda roof which is at the top of Kadoorie Farm, turn off the main path onto the next overgrown path you see.
