Cycling Tai Wai - Plover Cove

As a change from hiking, you can hire bicycles (We paid HK$40 for each bike) at either end of this cycle path and enjoy some flat easy cycling along a cycle path. The cycle path follows along the surprisingly beautiful Shatin River passing the rowing boats from the Rowing Club and the edge of Shatin Racecourse.  The cycle path then follows a not-so-exciting main road and building site before coming out in Tai Po market where the cycle path goes on to Plover Cove.  

Cycling Time: 3 hours

Difficulty: Easy

Start: Take KCR to Tai Wai. You can rent bikes at various cycle shops in the area.  

End: Remember to turn around before you feel tired because you need to return the bikes to where you hired them from!

The unicycle is mine - I don't think they were available for hire!
